eBSN - Workshop 3 & 4
The third and fourth Workshops were held in Oslo, Norway, 17th and 18th of April 2008. From the Wermland Chamber of Commerce participated Ulrika Obstfelder Peterson, Karolina Nilsson and Mats Bergman; from NorStella Arild Haraldsen.
Workshop 3
The first day we met three municipalities from Norway; Fredrikstad, Asker and Baerum, as well as representatives from the Norwegian organization Municipality Center. All held an introduction of the work that has been done in the different regions and the results were very interesting in all projects. We started a discussion how to transfer our different results and what we can learn from each other’s projects. The Wermland Chamber of Commerce was impressed how far the municipalities in Norway have come regarding their work on starting with e-commerce and the education of receivers. The municipalities in Norway were very interested in the work Handelsplats Wermland has done with suppliers and the fact that some municipalities in Värmland receives over 50% of their invoices electronically.
Workshop 4
The second day we discussed the results from the day before and decided how to continue the project. The hard work Handelsplats Wermland has been done to connect all 300 suppliers to send electronically invoices to the receivers were thought to be of great interest to the municipalities in Norway. To be able to transfer the knowledge and help the Norwegian side we also discussed who would take the roll in Norway that the Wermland Chamber of Commerce has in Värmland. We all stressed the importance that an organization takes that roll and have the all over knowledge and responsibility of a future project.

We also decided that the next meeting will be a seminar held in Strömstad, Sweden, at the 28th and 29th of May 2008. The same attendances as these two Workshops will be invited along with possible lead partner organizations for future projects. We will focus on how to work on getting suppliers to start sending electronically invoices. Also will Fredrikstad demonstrate the work on their health-transport-project that are linked heavily with e-commerce.
